In a district that featured four Top 30 teams in the State of Texas, there was no doubt it was going to be a battle down to the final week of the season for the District Championship.

Getting through a schedule that included No. 30 The Woodlands, No. 28 Oak Ridge and No. 3 Kingwood with a clean record was not going to be an easy task, but No. 2 Atascocita nearly did it.

Despite dropping two games out of its last 10, Atascocita claimed the District 16-6A Championship and the No. 1 seed heading into the postseason. click here for complete story
