Highlander coach Ron Eastman has been waiting for a game like this.

The Woodlands got a strong pitching effort, played solid defense and timely hitting as the Highlanders earned a 7-0 win over Summer Creek at Scotland Yard on Tuesday.

“We stepped it up tonight” Eastman said. “We faced a good pitcher – a guy that beat us last time. It showed a lot about our team. It showed the intestinal fortitude that our guys have.”

Catcher Zach Gartner led the way for the Highlanders with a pair of doubles and three RBIs as the Highlander bats got going late, scoring five runs over the final two innings. click here for complete story
