Expectations were high for both Montgomery and The Woodlands following a successful first day, but a cold and windy Tuesday at Legacy Hills Golf Course in Georgetown during the UIL State 6A Golf Championships made for a tough finish for both teams.

Lady Highlander Brooke McDougald finished her tournament with a combined 152 after shooting 78 on Tuesday, followed by Oriana Jerez and Gracie Aday’s 162, and Carley Charbonneau cutting eight strokes off her first round to shoot a 168 overall.

In the final group of the tournament, The Woodlands boys were unable to hold onto their position in second after Day One. The Highlanders turned in a team score of 319 on Turesday to finish at 609 overall and finish fifth. click here for complete story
