The Kingwood Mustangs ended their season on a high note with a 2-0 victory over The Woodlands Highlanders Friday night.

The Highlanders were coming into the evening standing at 5-6 in 16-6A and a victory would give them good momentum going into the post season. The Mustangs were eliminated from postseason contention and were playing for pride on senior night. Kingwood’s Blake Gould, who had struggled in previous outings this season, went five innings pitched surrendering only one hit and striking out five batters to earn the win. click here for complete story
