Rice University women’s basketball has signed Nicole Iademarco, a 6-1 guard/forward from Arizona State, head coach Tina Langley announced on Thursday. The wing will sit out the 2015-16 campaign in accordance with the NCAA transfer rules before stepping on the court as a sophomore in 2016-17.

“Nicole is a fantastic addition to our program.” Rice head coach Tina Langley said. “She has experience playing multiple positions and knows how to score in a variety of ways. Her versatility and ability to shoot the ball will make her incredibly hard to guard. At Arizona State, she was given the opportunity to play at the highest level in an extremely successful program. She also played for two very competitive programs, both in high school and in AAU. Nicole knows what it takes to compete for championships, and will be instrumental in helping us take the next step at Rice University.”

A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Iademarco was limited to seven games as a freshman at Arizona State after suffering a hand injury. click here for complete story
