Football: 2015 UIL championship games appear to be heading south

NS_20AllenLD18_41361453_216128The University Interscholastic League’s popular football championships appear to be on the move — away from AT&T Stadium.

Cowboys officials informed The Dallas Morning News on Friday that the NFL was unwilling to alter the final schedule it unveiled nearly two weeks ago, a schedule which created a conflict between the Cowboys’ Week 15 Saturday-night game against the New York Jets and the UIL’s final day of 2015 11-man title games.

Houston’s NRG Stadium seems the best landing spot for the 11-man finals, with San Antonio’s Alamodome — the only other venue in the state that meets the UIL’s criteria – scheduled to begin a $41 million renovation in the fall. click here for complete story
