The Woodlands girls 4×400-meter relay team closed the Region II-6A track and field championships in style.

The Lady Highlanders’ quartet of Ellyana Long, Alyssa Gillespie, Charity Thomas and Kendall Curzan won the event with a time of three minutes, 48.06 seconds, more than three seconds faster than runner-up Killen Harker Heights.

The victory helped The Woodlands finish second in the team standings with 51 points, trailing only Kingwood (55). Another District 16-6A school, Atascocita, was third with 42 points. click here for complete story
