Brian Lue, who has been named the valedictorian for The John Cooper School Class of 2015, was recognized by the American Society of Human Genetics on April 25 for his submission to the DNA Day Essay Contest.

Lue’s essay on the regulation of alternative splicing tied for third place in the nationwide essay contest that challenges students to examine human genetics beyond what is typically taught in the classroom.
