It is a day that many athletes dream of, the one day that signing a letter changes their lives forever – National Signing Day.
Humble Independent School District, which is home to Kingwood, Kingwood Park, Humble, Summer Creek and Atascocita High Schools, held its third and final signing day celebration on Friday at the Humble Civic Center, with a near record 41 student-athletes signing their National Letters of Intent to play collegiate sports next season.
“Well it’s a great achievement for the kids, their parents and the community,” Humble ISD Athletic Director Troy Kite said. “For me personally there is nothing better I get to do than the three days I’ve done this this year.”
The Summer Creek volleyball program had a good showing on Friday with three players signing letters to play at the next level; Iyaria Walker (Pensacola State University), Briana Littlejohn (Savannah State University) and Christen Augustine (Prairie View A&M). click here for complete story
