Klein Oak wasn’t going to pitch to star slugger Luken Baker. The rest of the Oak Ridge lineup took that as a challenge.

The War Eagles passed the challenge with flying colors as they pounded out 16 hits on their way to a 10-3 win over the Panthers in Game 2 of the Region II-6A bi-district playoffs.
“We’ve been working on our approach at the plate,” Oak Ridge coach Mike Pirtle said. “Against a left-hander tonight, I was really happy with how our guys used the whole field and were able to drive the ball to right field when needed.”
With the win, Oak Ridge (24-1) clinches the best-of-three bi-district series and advances to the area round where it will face the winner of Pflugerville and Buda Hays. click here for complete story
