The Woodlands softball team gathered around home plate as Kelcy Leach ran to meet them after her game winning home run in the bottom of the eighth against Lake Travis, bringing the girls one step closer to State.

The Woodlands beat Lake Travis 5-4 after a hard fought game. The Lady Highlanders were ahead 3-0 until the top of the fourth when a home run put two points on the board for the Cavaliers. In the bottom of the sixth, Kelcy Leach came up to the plate with her first home run of the game and brought the score to 4-2, but in the top of the seventh, two more runs for Lake Travis tied up the game. click here for complete story
