Softball: The Woodlands ousts Lake Travis from playoffs

Sophomore catcher Kelcy Leach smacked two home runs Saturday to help The Woodlands complete a two-game sweep of Lake Travis and advance to the UIL softball championships.

One year after losing the Class 5A championship game to Deer Park, the Highlanders (25-9) will begin play in the Class 6A state tournament on Friday at McCombs Field. click here for complete story
