The capital city of Texas has become a home away from home for The Woodlands softball team this time of year.

Three of the last five years have seen the Lady Highlanders make the journey past the Region 2-6A finals and into the state tournament in Austin, but the 2015 team might have been the most challenging for veteran TWHS coach Richard Jorgensen and his talented squad.

Despite having one of the best lineups and pitching duos in the state, the Lady Highlanders (26-7) have fought through a difficult District 16-6A schedule and finished second in the league. click here for complete story
