High achieving students from around The Woodlands, Oak Ridge and Conroe are being groomed to be future leaders.

The Conroe Independent School District hosted its ninth annual Leadership Academy summer camp, which aims to foster confidence, independence and character in children.

For 13-year-old Brooke Hertzenberg, who attends the Gerald D. Irons Sr. Junior High School in The Woodlands, the Leadership Academy was an opportunity to learn how to help others. click here for complete story
