The Woodlands High grads excited for next steps

Waves of green and red rippled throughout The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion June 2 as The Woodlands High School seniors crossed the stage, ready to embark on new journeys.

“Four years ago , we entered the doors of the ninth-grade campus full of high hopes, expectations — and if we’re being honest — a few nervous jitters,” said senior Emma Cooke, before eluding to a book from a well-known children’s author. “As a graduating senior, I’m sure you’ve often heard repeated the congratulatory and encouraging words of Dr. Seuss through his book, ‘Oh! The Places You’ll Go.’”

Cooke elaborated on how much she’s wondered about where she’d be headed after graduation, and added that it was time for the new Highlanders alumni to take the wheel and direct their own paths. click here for complete story
