Softball: The Woodlands’ Aubrey Leach named All-Montgomery County Player of the Year

To be considered a superb hitter, rather it be in baseball or softball, one should have a .300 batting average or above.

In the professional ranks, a player can rake in millions if they can hit a ball safely into play on one out of every three at-bats. A .300 batting average usually gains you, at minimum, a spot on the all-star team for the season.

The Woodlands High School’s Aubrey Leach nearly hit .600 in her farewell season on the softball field. Her batting average came in just six points under that mark at .594.

In 34 games for the Lady Highlanders, Leach averaged nearly two hits per game. She only had four games where she had a donut in the hits column. Out of the 41 outs she did made, only five of those were strikeouts. click here for complete story
