Putting together an all-county team, on the surface, can seem like a fairly ordinary task in the changing world of sports journalism.

You look at the stats, you measure them against the success the team enjoyed and try to find some sort of middle ground. A common-sense approach, if you will.

That wasn’t the case with The Courier’s All-Montgomery County baseball team chosen for the 2015 season and released in Sunday’s editions. This all-star team was absolutely loaded with talent, from top to bottom. We really wanted to get it right. I really wanted to get it right.
