Two Oak Ridge War Eagles and a Splendora Wildcat headlined the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State teams that were recently released

Meanwhile, four area softball players also the Texas Girls Coaches Association softball All-State team.

Gatorade National Player of the Year and a Baseball America All-American Luken Baker, a War Eagles right-hander, was named first-team pitcher for 6A baseball. Baker is heading to TCU next season. His teammate Riley McKnight was a first team selection as well at second base. McKnight will stay nearby for college and play for the Sam Houston State Bearkats. click here for complete story
