Youngsters between grades 5 and 8 have been working their tails off under the Texas sun at the Woodlands High School at the 12th Annual Mark Schmid Football camp.

“I think education of the game is important,” Marc Berger, a camper’s father, “After one full day he’s already picked it up, he’s drawing plays and showing me what he’s supposed to be doing. He’s played baseball for a long time and he definitely has an interest to play football here at the middle school level and possibly beyond. So we decided that this year he would play one year of SCFL.”

The camp is position focused. Campers are allowed to choose a position and they get specific coaching for that position and drills that they can do on their own. click here for complete story and photos
