The Woodlands has its new volleyball coach – and with no time to spare.

Montgomery’s Terri Wade was tabbed late last week to replace Leslie Madison, who left for Magnolia after leading the Highlanders to back-to-back state championships the past two seasons. The volleyball season starts in less than three weeks with the first day of practice Aug. 3.
“Everything was bang-bang, with Coach Madison leaving to take the Magnolia job mid-summer, and then by law the position has to be posted for 10 days, so we felt like we were a little bit behind the eight ball on this,” said athletic director Mark Schmid. “Thanks goodness we had some really good people apply for the position.” click here for complete story
