On a recent morning at one of The Woodlands’ many ponds, Marvin Seale cast his fishing line into the water for the first time that day and reeled in a largemouth bass. On his third cast, he caught another bass, and soon after that another.
“These were decent bass, and they were getting larger. Within 10 casts, I had four fish. I was trembling. I was literally shaking,” he said. “I didn’t catch another fish after those four on that pond that day but, for those moments, I was so excited.”
