A new era of Magnolia volleyball was established with the hiring of Leslie Madison in late June.
Madison is best known in the coaching ranks as the leader of The Woodlands High School teams that won a Class 5A state title in 2013 and turned around and won the first state title in the new Class 6A last year. With her new group of receptive Lady Bulldog athletes, Madison had an odd feeling as they prepped for this season with a scrimmage.
The scrimmage was in the gymnasium of her old stomping grounds at TWHS.
“It was weird,” Madison said via phone Saturday evening. “I’m still really close with that senior group. I wish them all the very best.”
Madison resided in Magnolia while coaching at The Woodlands. The closer commute to her new job gives her extra time for her husband Lonnie Madison and children Mallory, Morgan and Case. click here for complete story
