Volleyball: Oak Ridge jumps all over Montgomery in season-opening sweep

Nervous energy for the first volleyball match of the season just didn’t fit in Oak Ridge’s game plan Tuesday evening.

The Lady War Eagles took a 16-point lead on visiting Montgomery in first set after reeling off 14 straight points. That momentum carried on the rest of the night as the Lady War Eagles earned the 25-17, 25-18, 25-16 sweep of the Lady Bears in non-district play.

Oak Ridge junior Brooke Clark was the server during the opening stretch. She had three aces and a kill while fellow junior Hannah Mikelonis and sophomore Molly Russell had two kills to get things going. click here for complete story
