
Conroe football fans had reason to embrace the Tigers’ 3-1 start last fall.
Sophomore quarterback Colby Kizzie was slinging the ball around the field and picking his spots when breaking the pocket in Conroe’s pistol offense.
Junior defensive ends Daylon Jefferson and Vaughn Taylor were racking up impressive sack totals. And 220-pound bruiser Dontrell Dock, now on his way to McMurry University in Abilene, was averaging more than 150 yards rushing per game.
