Hannah Hickman got off to a great start.

Not only did the The Woodlands senior sing a beautiful rendition of the “The Star-Spangled Banner”, but she also put up a pair of blocks against non-district opponent Montgomery to start Tuesday’s match.
The Woodlands, off a tournament win at the Magnolia Volley Battle, helped its new coach Terri Wade beat her former team, 25-17, 25-16, 25-21. Even though Wade is just a few weeks into her new job with the Lady Highlanders, she has consistently seen Hickman come out charged up.
“She’s always ready to come out on fire,” Wade said. “She goes hard every time.”
The early 4-0 lead for The Woodlands (18-2) turned into an 8-3 lead a few moments later after a kill by senior Hailey Reier. click here for complete story
