The Highlanders seem to have decided on who their signal caller will be…for week one at least.

Coach Mark Schmid confirmed on Wednesday at practice that junior quarterback Eric Schmid will be under center for The Woodlands against Cy Fair on Friday.

“We based our decision on the body of work we’ve seen so far and the scrimmage last Friday,” coach Schmid said. “It’s always a tough decision. But someone has to start the game.”
