College Park’s football season got off to a promising start, as the Cavaliers led perennial power Pearland 13-12 at halftime on Thursday night.

In the second half, however, the balance of power went back to the home team, and the Oilers cruised to a 41-20 victory at Big Rig Stadium. The Cavaliers will try to bounce back on the road next week against Aldine Eisenhower at W.W. Thorne Stadium on Saturay, September 5.

The Cavaliers kept the game close for most of the game, until senior safety Kaleb Taylor mishandled a punt inside College Park’s own 10-yard line late in the third quarter. click here for complete story
