For College Park, this was the one that got away. One week after a halftime lead over traditional power Pearland vanished in the third quarter, the Cavaliers were hoping to even their record at 1-1 in Saturday’s non-district game with Aldine Eisenhower at W.W. Thorne Stadium.

The Cavaliers had trouble wrapping up the Eisenhower ball carriers and the Eagles slipped away with a 10-8 victory, sending College Park to 0-2 on the season. Still, the Cavs had a chance to pull it out.
