Oak Ridge successfully followed up last week’s blowout win over Aldine with another lopsided victory — this time besting Klein Forest 30-7 at Woodforest Bank Stadium Saturday.

The win pushes Oak Ridge above .500 and into a two-way tie with The Woodlands for second place in 16-6A with a 2-1 record.
“It was a step in the right direction,” Oak Ridge coach Dereck Rush said. “Our kids did a great job of competing. Our defense did a great job limiting Klein Forest’s offense. We did a good job adjusting, offensively, to their defense.”
Oak Ridge was led offensively by the dynamic duo of Lamar Handy and Eric Townsend. Handy finished with 74 rushing yards on five carries and a touchdown, while Townsend had 84 receiving yards on four catches with a touchdown. click here for complete story and photo gallery
