Volleyball: Without Smith, College Park beats Oak Ridge in 5 sets

With only three returning seniors on the roster College Park was not necessarily everyone’s pick to lead District 16-6A. Most were probably leaning towards the two-time defending state champs The Woodlands.

Or maybe they were picking Oak Ridge after an impressive non-district run and an even more impressive start to district play.

Tuesday night, without their biggest offensive weapon in Kennedi Smith, the Lady Cavaliers defeated Oak Ridge 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 17-25, 15-13. Now, 3-0 in district, in the middle of a nine-game win streak and having defeated both The Woodlands and Oak Ridge, the Lady Cavaliers own first place. click here for complete story
