Football: The Woodlands’ Ramos is Highlanders’ change-of-pace back

It’s open date week at The Woodlands High School, so the atmosphere before Tuesday’s practice is fairly relaxed.

The Woodlands running back Carlos Ramos was selected The Courier’s Montgomery County Player of the Week, the fourth consecutive Highlander to receive the award.

Carlos Ramos’ offensive linemen, however, want to know why they’re about to get their picture taken. And they had to wait a while on Ramos, the Highlanders’ 5-foot-8, 165-pound running back.

Ramos, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns in the Highlanders’ methodical 28-0 victory over College Park last week, is The Courier’s Montgomery County Player of the Week. click here for complete story
