After a 22nd place finish as a team last year at the Nike Cross Nationals, it can only get better for The Woodlands Cross Country team this time around. As long as the The Woodlands has a good day Saturday at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Ore., it’s pretty safe to say that it will produce a much better result.

The Highlanders have enjoyed success along the way to Portland this year, placing first at the UIL Class 6 state meet in early November and then they won gold two weeks ago at Bear Branch Park in The Woodlands during the NXN South Meet. click here for complete story
