Theater: Photo Call – An Exclusive first look at College Park HS Black Box Production of “Almost Maine”
The College Park High School Theater Department Production of “Almost Maine” officially opens at the Black Box on Oct.15 following media previews that began Oct 13.

“It’s winter in Almost, Maine,”. “Salty waitresses, lost visitors, tough and not-so–tough women and men crack open some beer, start their snowmobiles, pitch a tent, and gather under the northern lights to try to make sense of this strange thing called love. Funny, sexy, sad, and ever-searching, the people of Almost, Maine are stalked by dreams and fears alike as they ante up again and again determined to get past the ‘almost’ to capture the real. Love is local and the world is strange in this midwinter night’s dream.”
Head Director Valerie Labonski said, “I’m incredibly excited to bring our first fall black box production in 5 years to our students, parents, faculty and community.

Director Nicole Kapalski, and Technical Director Laura Kieler will direct their first College Park production which includes an ensemble cast of 19 students including Lara Kuper, Jackson Hicks, Sarah Schneider, Zoe Clark & Eric Buzz just to name a few.
Once the show opens, its up to veteran Student Stage Manager Meagan Pierce, a junior at College Park (The Glass Menagerie, As You Like It, Cinderella, Iphigenia at Aulis and A Night of Scene) to make sure that every aspect of the production runs just as the director intended time after time, until the production closes.
Tickets are $7 and can be bought at the door or purchased online . There are only 150 seats at each show so the box office will open at 6pm to buy tickets.
Performances are: 7pm Oct 15, 16, 17 and 19
The College Park – Black Box is located at 3701 College Park Dr, Conroe, TX 77384 (use the Theater entrance located on the west end of the school) .
