Highlanders open the 2016 season with a win

The Woodlands Highlanders outlasted the Foster Falcons on Thursday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 5-4 win at Scotland Yard. The Highlanders picked up the season opener in the bottom of the 7th, when Lucan Jensen Scored Dillon Kotsios on a walk off sac fly to left field.
Dillon Kotsios had a busy day at the plate, collecting 2 extra-base hits. He singled in the 3rd inning and doubled in the 5th and 7th innings. Evan Samoff got the win in relief for The Highlanders. Samoff pitched four innings and allowed one run. The Highlanders was sparked by Kotsios and Vince Secrest, who teamed up for 5 hits and 3 RBIs.
Drake DeGaynor ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
