Oak Ridge stops Stratford in 2 OTs

For the first time since 2007, the Oak Ridge football team has started its season 3-0. But what might be even more notable is the fashion in which the War Eagles did it.

Oak Ridge defeated No. 7 area-ranked Stratford 45-42 in a double-overtime thriller on Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium to remain undefeated and avenge a loss to the Spartans a year ago. Stratford (1-2) entered the game ranked seventh among 4A teams in this week’s hsgridiron.com poll.
