Pushed, but not uncomfortably so, The Woodlands’ top-ranked volleyball team passed its Top-10 test against A&M Consolidated on Tuesday night, leaving Tiger Gym undefeated. Even though they were unable to pull off the upset, the sixth-ranked Lady Tigers left undaunted. The Woodlands answered a spirited challenge by Consol, pulling away for a 25-16, 19-25, 25-15, 25-14 victory in a high-quality District 14-5A match.It was only the fourth time this season the Lady Highlanders (26-0, 2-0) have failed to sweep a match. The Woodlands also lost one game against Southlake Carroll, Coppell and Kingwood.
