The name of the film is “The Short Game,” directed by Josh Greenbaum. The movie follows the lives of Sky and seven other players from around the globe as they prepare for the 2012 U.S. Kids Golf World Championship, which is held annually at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
The tournament attracts 1,500 youth golfers from 54 different countries each year and is looked upon as the ultimate competition for the newest generation of golfing phenoms.
The film premiers locally at 7 tonight at the Cinemark at Market Street 5 in The Woodlands. Other showtimes include 2:20 p.m. on Saturday at Gulf Pointe 30 Theatres in Houston and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday back at Market Street.
