On Saturday, October 12, many members of the Orchestra competed in the Region 9 Junior High School All Region Orchestra tryouts at Oak Ridge High School. Over four hundred students competed for a spot in the two orchestras that will perform at Klein Forest High School on Saturday, November 23. The following Knox Orchestra students made the 2013 Region 9 Junior High School Orchestras: Vishnu Sajit, Anne Chan, Ruth Simpson, Ryann Jones, Kyle Jungbluth, Sofia Fuentes, Gage Hatchett, Amy Sanders, Jacob Gordon, Andrew Yu, Marianna Flores-Teran, Phillip Gavino, Ninette Siby, Sreya Rahman, Brandon Garza, Isabella Brosvik, Lucas Warma, Ehlysa Ingalls ,and Isabella Cumberland.
