The Woodlands survived a challenge from Clear Falls and emerged with a 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 25-17 decision in the Class 5A state volleyball semifinals Friday at the Culwell Center. The Highlanders (44-0) will attempt to complete an unbeaten season in Saturday’s final against San Antonio Churchill (47-2).

Led by a 33-kill performance from Alyssa Enneking, Clear Falls (40-7) put a lot of pressure on The Woodlands’ defense. The Knights complemented that effort with an outstanding defensive showing. But lapses by Clear Falls at the end of the first set and the start of the second and fourth sets made the difference. click here for complete story and additional photos
