Grads turn tassels at mid-year ceremony

The graduates of 2013, all from six Conroe Independent School District high schools, walked across the stage Thursday evening at the Mid-Year Commencement in the Conroe High School auditorium.
Parents, grandparents, friends and family screamed and hollered as each family’s graduate’s name was called by CISD Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Gale Drummond.
“Everyone is proud of you. You have accomplished much and will have more to accomplish,” Drummond said.
Caney Creek High School student Connell Osbourne thanked teachers and staff.
“We’ll always strive to be better and we’ll strive for a better tomorrow,” Osbourne said to the graduates.
