Junior Kyle Robertson and the College Park High School boys’ basketball team raced out to a 14-0 lead over visiting Conroe en route to a 63-34 victory over the Tigers Friday night in District 14-5A action. Robertson scored 10 straight points in the early stages of the second half with two deuces and two 3s allowing the Cavaliers (20-5, 2-0) to stretch their lead to 40-10 effectively taking the wind out of Conroe’s sails.
With College Park up 17-2 at the start of the second quarter, Conroe showed signs of life in scoring five straight points behind Stedman Bell and Victor Bernald to tighten things up a bit, 17-7.
