Tyler Rapp has always envisioned himself as a Division I football player. He’s imagined what it would be like to walk out of a tunnel on a Saturday afternoon into a stadium filled with thousands of people.

Now that his high school career is complete, Rapp finally has the opportunity to see that dream become reality. The Woodlands’ senior all-county center committed to play football for Air Force last week and let the world know with the following tweet:

“Proud to say I have verbally committed to play football next year at The United States Air Force Academy! #AF”

That stadium he will get to walk into is Falcon Stadium, a 46,692-seat venue in Colorado Springs, Colo. with the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. It’s just one of the aspects of joining the Academy that Rapp said he is looking forward to.
