The Woodlands softball team fell just short of a berth in the state tournament last year, and the Lady Highlanders seem poised to make another run toward that goal in 2014. Caitlin Bartsch fired a two-hitter at Conroe on Tuesday night, leading the Lady Highlanders to a 14-1 victory. Conroe pitcher Kindall MacMahan gave up a pair of two-run home runs in the third, and the Tigerettes’ problems in the field made it harder for her the rest of the game. click here for complete story
