The Oak Ridge War Eagles had two ways to view this offseason.
They started 7-0 last season, so they could glean inspiration from that, and try to build on what went right, but they finished on a four-game losing streak, which could serve as fuel for a collective fire. Coach Dereck Rush says they’ve done a little of both this spring.
“It definitely was a great start for the season, as far as starting off 7-0, and a little disappointing going into the final four games of the season,” said Rush, who is preparing for his third season at the helm. “We just look back at that and try to build on all the positives we saw throughout the season.”
One of the big negatives was injuries. Oak Ridge had plenty of them, contributing to its late-season slide. click here for complete story
