Conroe ISD will spend $274,000 this summer to upgrade front-door security at 24 elementary and intermediate campuses and one junior high.

The CISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday night approved the project, which will provide cameras, front-door intercom and electronic hardware. The money is in the general fund. The custom intercom integration software allows the ability to unlock and view video through the phone station, according to Easy Foster, CISD director of Planning and Construction. The work will be done predominantly on elementary and intermediate campuses but also will include Knox Junior High. click here for complete story
