May is Military Appreciation Month and the community will be honoring the troops in a number of ways, as Memorial Day approaches. The most poignant salute will be at the Forest Park Cemetery on I-45N southbound, north of The Woodlands, Monday, May 26, when the VFW Post 12024 and the Post’s Auxiliary, will be commemorating military heroes at 10:00 a.m. Prior to the ceremony, the VFW, with assistance from area Boy and Girl Scout troops, will place American flags on the gravesites in a display of respect. click here for complete story & list of events
