Anthony Pagano drove in four runs and struck out 10 to help Atascocita to a 9-5 win over Rockwall Heath in Game 2 of the Region II-5A semifinals on Friday. Pagano was 2 for 4 at the plate as the Eagles rolled past the Hawks to even the three-game series 1-1 at Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton.
Game 3 will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mary-Hardin Baylor. The winner advances to the regional finals. Pagano hit a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to give the Eagles a 9-5 lead as they staved off a Hawk comeback try. Pagano also capped off a four-run fourth with a single to center to score Travis Jones and Ryan Wadkins to extend the Eagles’ lead to 7-2 at the time. click here for complete story
