Senior Beryl Smith reminded her fellow graduates of The Woodlands High School’s class of 2014 of a simple message that was repeated throughout their four years at school — “Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours.”

As this year’s graduation speaker, Smith highlighted the significance of those words and what it meant for her fellow classmates during Monday evening’s ceremony at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

“Whether we realize it or not, we have all succeeded in following the central meaning of that quote,” Smith said. “None of us would be here today in our hats and gowns if it wasn’t for the good choices we made.”

Smith encouraged her fellow graduates to trust themselves and to not let “all the noise and chaos” around them drown out their inner voice. click here for complete story and photo gallery….
