US Lacrosse has announced the second and third groups of high school girls’ lacrosse players to be named as US Lacrosse High School All-Americans, All-Academic Team members and Jackie Pitts Award winners. Players representing 46 US Lacrosse chapters and 34 states nationwide were recognized for their efforts on and off the field.
Over 400 players were selected as first-team and honorable mention All-Americans and over 2,500 players were recognized for excellence in the classroom as All-Academic honorees. In addition, 29 chapters announced their Jackie Pitts Award winners.
US Lacrosse uses a calendar-based recognition process to accommodate for the different timeframes of high school lacrosse seasons across the country. Group one girls’ awards, representing the Southern tier of states, were announced last month.
A US Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge.
