Baseball: Andritsos focused on taking care of business with 2015 draft on the horizon

Chris Andritsos admitted, it would be hard not to think about next summer at least a little bit. After all, it could be the start of an exciting new venture for The Woodlands’ senior-to-be baseball star.

That opportunity — being selected in the 2015 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft — has long been a goal for the 2014 Montgomery County Player of the Year. But…

“You’ve still got to take care of business here [in high school] because if you don’t take care of business here, that can all disappear in a few days, few weeks,” Andritsos said. “We’ll see what happens when it comes down to it.”

For now, Andritsos is content with doing all he can to enhance his abilities. That means playing plenty of baseball this summer, whether it’s competing for his Houston Kyle Chapman 17-and-under team or testing his skills at the Perfect Game National Showcase. click HERE for complete story
